Huskers Shine at Pac-12 vs. Big Ten Invitational

TEMPE, Ariz. - The Nebraska men's and women's track and field teams swept the team titles at the Pac-12 vs. Big Ten Invitational late Saturday night at Arizona State's Sun Angel Stadium.

The Husker men totaled 159.75 points, while the women collected 136.5 in the victory. The Huskers won 12 event titles on Saturday to go with two on Friday.

Freshman Chanel Freeman got the running events off to a fantastic start for the Huskers, as she won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.35 in her first collegiate outdoor meet. Her mark was the fifth-fastest time in NU outdoor history. She later won the 100 meters in 11.90.

Freeman and fellow freshmen Jasmine Barge and Quashira McIntosh combined for four event titles on the day. Barge captured the 400-meter hurdles title with the eighth-fastest time in NU outdoor history, 58.40. McIntosh won the 200 meters in 24.24.

Antoine Lloyd followed up by winning the 110-meter hurdles in 13.84, a new meet record. He was also a part of the 4x100 relay - along with Christian Cook, Ricco Hall and Malcolm White - that won their race with a time of 39.77. 

White took the 100 meters with a personal-best time of 10.36, which put him at No. 10 in NU outdoor history. He also won the 200 meters with a time of 20.84, leading three Huskers at the top as Hall (21.31) and Oliver Alexandre (21.37) were right behind. Andy Neal won the men's 400-meter hurdles in 52.39, a personal best. 

In field events, Nick Percy followed up on his hammer throw title on Friday by winning the discus with a throw of 189-11 (57.89m). Nikita Pankins captured the long jump title with a leap of 24-0 3/4 (7.33m). Tierra Williams won the women's long jump with a mark of 20-4 1/2 (6.21m).
